Alien: Earth's Emmy-winning composer Jeff Russo said he used an Aztec death whistle to help create the music for the series' famous xenomorph.

He said his reasoning for this is that the government is "terrible at keeping secrets."

Colbert then asked if Obama wished aliens were real, which led the former president to make a job pitch to Colbert. Obama explained that he would be a good first point-of-contact for aliens. “I actually do,” Obama said.

The former president emphasized there’s no way such a secret could stay confidential.
