I am trying to fix an HP Pavilion A610E, running WinXP SP3. The Recycle Bin icon on the desktop shows that there are files in it, and when I right-click it, it does give me the option to empty.

When the process is stuck at 99%, it usually indicates that the system has completed most of the data processing but is still in the final cleanup steps, such as updating indexes, clearing file ...

I get the following messge when trying to delete a multimedia file:<BR><BR>Cannot delete "filename": It is being used by another person or program<BR><BR>Obviously I closed any progs I could see open.
