Last Friday (22 Jan) we unveiled Virtual Firefighter – CFA’s new virtual reality firefighter training. The technology is designed specifically for firefighters, allowing them to train in a number of virtual firefighting scenarios with real-life equipment like breathing apparatus and hoses. Around 40 teens from across the State sharpened their firefighting skills at the CFA Cadet Camp over the weekend. The camp brings together CFA’s youngest senior members, 16-17 years old, to enhance their skills, knowledge, teamwork and leadership through practical, hands-on training. It was established to help address retention rates and strengthen engagement with teenage members.
