Gov, Kathy Hochul announced that three individuals were aboard the MV Hondius, the vessel hit by a rare hantavirus outbreak, are New Yorkers. “There are three individuals who call New York home. We don’t know whether those individuals will be returning to New York. I believe that there is a 42-day monitoring period,” Hochul said. US health officials say that seventeen Americans in total are headed to Nebraska for testing. It is not yet clear whether they will quarantine in New York or in Nebrask
