The brown sugar shaken espresso is one of my all-time favorite drinks—and it is even better with a homemade syrup. This could not be simpler: • 1 cup brown sugar • 1 cup water • 2 cinnamon sticks Simmer for 10 minutes, then add a splash of vanilla off the heat. I keep the cinnamon sticks in the jar because the longer they steep, the more flavor develops. This syrup actually gets better every single day.
